Product Description
The genuine NISSAN 11128-6920A oil drain plug (factory designation: PLUG DRAIN O/P) is an essential sealing component of the internal combustion engine lubrication system. Positioned at the lowest point of the engine oil pan (sump), its primary function is to securely and hermetically seal the engine oil during regular vehicle operation, while facilitating the complete draining of waste oil during periodic maintenance intervals.
Technical Characteristics and Function
This drain plug is manufactured from high-strength steel alloy, providing excellent resistance against engine vibration, elevated operating temperatures, and the chemical properties of engine oil. During routine service, the bolt threads and the hexagonal head are subjected to mechanical stress; over-torquing or using improper tools can lead to thread stripping or rounding of the hex head. In the event of thread wear or deformation, replacing the plug is mandatory to prevent oil leaks and catastrophic engine failure.
