TOYOTA 90468-03006 Parking Brake Cable Retaining Clip

The retaining clip with part number TOYOTA 90468-03006 is an OEM-quality fastener engineered for the secure, vibration-resistant routing and mounting of the parking brake cable, along with related wiring and lines, to the vehicle chassis and suspension components. A precise fit ensures proper geometric cable alignment, preventing interference with moving or hot parts while eliminating mechanical wear and chafing caused by continuous vibrations.

Function and Importance:

• Maintains the correct positioning and secure attachment of the parking brake cable at body mounting points.
• Prevents cable sagging, dislodging, and subsequent mechanical damage.
• Reduces metal-to-metal contact noise and minimizes corrosion risk.
• Signs of Wear and Failure: Cracking or breakage due to material aging, loosened retaining tabs, or a missing clip following repair work. A damaged or missing clip may lead to cable sagging, binding actuation, or chafing of the cable's outer casing.
